42″ or 48″ Steel Walls

Steel wall inground pool kits have two different wall height options, 42″ or 48″ for those wanting a little bit more depth in the shallow end of their pool. Steel walls are popular because of the countless bench, step, and tanning ledge options available only to steel wall pools.

As a base material, steel walls are stronger than polymer, however, with that strength comes weight. Steel is much heavier, which leads to the panels being more cumbersome to move around when building your kit.

What is G-235? This is the “galvanization” each steel wall panel receives. G-235 is the strongest galvanization process in the swimming pool industry and is also the highest-rated galvanization treatment steel can receive.

42″ Polymer Walls

Polymer wall inground pool kits are made from structural thermoplastic and come in a 42″ wall height. Each panel has been designed to provide uniform rigidity, flatness, and strength.

As a base material, polymer panels are lighter weight than steel and easier to handle when working alone.

Polymer panels does not require galvanization, and offer superior corrosion resistance over time. Remember, polymer panels can never rust, rot or corrode. Our panels are made by Hydra Pools and have been going into backyards for over 30 years.
